❸Registration No.

Each racer has a registration number and the Race Card shows the racer's name and the racer's registration number.

❹Ranking

Each racer has a ranking according to the winning average, in four ranks: A1, A2, B1 or B2, the first (A1) being the highest and the last (B2) being the lowest.

❺Intended lane

Intended lane entry
全=All lanes
内中=Inside
外=Outside

❻Average ST

Average Start Timing
This shows how many seconds after the hand of the Big Clock points at 0 the boat passed the start line. Average ST is the value given to the average start timing of all races that the racer entered. The smaller the number, the better the racer is at starting.

❼Winning average/ Exacta/ Trifecta

The higher the value the stronger the racer
Left-hand column: national
Middle column: recent
Right-hand column: Suminoe
Top: winning average
Middle: Probability of coming 1st or 2nd
Bottom: Probability of coming 1st, 2nd or 3rd

❽Performance by lane

Top: Successful lane entry
The number of times the racer entered the intended lane
Middle: 1st place
The number of times the racer came 1st using the lane
Bottom: 2nd place
The number of times the racer came 2nd using the lane

❾Motor/ Boat

The Race Card contains data about the motors and boats as with the racers. They have registration numbers and performance records (top 2-places ratio ) The motors and boats are owned by each stadium and racers draw lots for them. The higher the value of the top 2-places ratio, the better the motors and boats, presumably.

❿Session Performance/Finishing position/
 Entry lane Start Timing

From the preliminaries to the final, BOAT RACE is held over a maximum of 7 days (normally 4 to 6 days). This period when the set of races are held is called a Session. The racers enter many races per Session so the Race Card has data on the performance for that particular Session. The data is valuable in assessing how good each racer’s current form is.

・Assessing the Data
For example, [6四19] denotes 6th place, lane 4 entered, 0.19 ST. If two sets of data are given in one column, the racer entered two races on the same day, with data for the 1st race on the left and data for the 2nd race on the right.
一=1
二=2
三=3
四=4
五=5
六=6

⓫Quick Reference

Racers who are going to be in two races in one day are given the race numbers. If the box is blank, that racer is only going to enter in one race that day.
